Dilfer was ok. But he was a game manager who benefited from having an
elite defense. Would the Colts have been bad enough to get Manning had they drafted Dilfer? Obviously hind sight is 20/20. But the easiest path to winning a super bowl is with an elite quarterback. The other path is with an elite defense. Was Dilfer going to provide either of those to the Colts?
I think the Faulk pick was the correct one. We can argue the other pick. Kiper thought he should've taken one of those two quarterbacks instead of Faulk, though.
