TL;DR Version:
Insulin isn't bad. There is no difference in insulin levels and fat storage for high carb diets vs. low carb diets (when caloric consumption is the same). Carbs are fine, spiked insulin goes down, and lipogenesis evens out lipolysis over a 24hr period (assuming energy intake matches energy expenditure i.e. caloric maintenance).
I do thoroughly enjoy these scientific discussions on CB.
This isn't calling out anyone specifically, nor saying different techniques don't work for you. Your experiences will affect your opinion.
Just sharing some stuff I've recently come across from a reputable source.
