No visible gap between player and ball when the ball bounced—the rule to overturn has to be clear and obvious evidence and that did not happen on the bounce. It missed Edelman’s bicep but there was no angle that clearly showed his hands didn’t touch. It looked like it might not have touched, but per the league’s rules that is insufficient to overturn the call on the field.

It was luck or karma that the Chiefs got the ball back on the next play.
