Recruiting advantages (state money to USU)
Has anyone discussed the impact that the state legislature has had on recruiting at USU? In 2015, the legislature approved $1.5 million in ongoing funds for USU to recruit better athletes.

Here's one article on the issue (I hope the link works. If not, just google "utah $1.5 million legislature USU recruit"): http://archive.sltrib.com/article.php?id=2279640&itype=CMSID

My question is: now, three years later, has this had a significant impact on USU football? I would argue that it has . . . . in the following year, USU went 3-9, then 6-7, and the third year (when those recruits are playing/starting) USU goes 11-2.

Just an interesting tidbit that I hadn't heard anyone talking about . . . . thought it might be food for thought on this snowmaggedon day . . . . .
