Utah and BYU have both seen increases in resources as well...
albeit from different sources. I think this may have lifted USU relative to the D2 programs they compete against for recruits but BYU and Utah have seen their own increases since the 2011 shakeups.
This money certainly helps them but there have been other changes over those years as well. Conference realignments, coaching changes, and even a major distraction in the life of their head coach. All of those could also be attributed to the downturns and rebuilds we have seen.

I am sure their increased budget helped their recruiting efforts. But how do their resources compare to other schools
