Why do you assume the premise is that USU has an unfair advantage?
I never said that. I pointed out that USU got $1.5 million in state tax dollars to recruit better athletes. Since then, they have improved every year. This being the third year since they started getting that money (in perpetuity) the guys initially recruited under that program expansion are now starting for the team. And this last year, the team went 11-2. Is there a correlation between the money and the improvement? I don't know. Food for thought.

But I won't go out and say that this money gives them an unfair advantage. I don't know why that is assumed . . . . and whether or not anyone wants to debate whether state tax dollars should be used to recruit athletes to Ogden, well, that is something that probably needs transparency and review/accountability for how tax dollars are spent. But that's a different discussion.
