He has been homeschooled for life, thus never had to vax or deal with the issue in a school setting. I gave her 7 days to have him get his shots as per the Title I rules, or he would be withdrawn from school. She gave me every excuse in the book. She eventually said she could not afford them. I gave her a list of 7 locations (2 open 24/7) that would take care of them for free. ( I also waived all of this kids course fees, etc.) She left in a huff, yelling across my office that she did not have time to get the shots.

She called my superintendent. She called the school board. She called the state school board. They all referred her back to me. Then she called me yesterday saying that she was dropping him off at school today without his shots. I warned her that he would be trespassing without them. He showed up today...with his shot record completed. He is 16, and the student actually told me thank you. He was worried about not being vaxxed!

FYI- There is a legal loophole to get around this, but I am not sharing it with her just because she did not have the time to go get them. I would not even consider her an anti-vaxxer, just a lazy mom.
