If you want your son to have a good LDS environment experience, USU and UVU should be able to provide such. I hate the U so Id never recommend them. At UVU he could easily have BYU roommates and BYU students in his ward, depending on where he lives.

And of course there are the institute programs at most big schools. Can’t beat UM academics.
