Man all I know is once they get damaged repair is almost impossible. I’d have it
it checked out again, or at least check with your ENT to see if it’s normal.

This may not be what you want to hear, but ringing can also be caused by tumors

It's diminished from the volume of a hair dryer to much more tolerable
