This may not be what you want to hear, but ringing can also be caused by tumors

If it's getting worse, it may be that. Or maybe look into getting on an antibiotic. An infection can worsen ringing significantly. Maybe tubes in the eardrums could also relieve the pressure. I have tinnitus as well and get ear infection every other year or so.

It's diminished from the volume of a hair dryer to much more tolerable
