OK, so I wondered why the WCC tournament is always 90% Gonzaga fans, and why BYU fans have trouble finding tickets (have to wander the parking lots to find a few overpriced scalper tickets).
Basically, I found out that Gonzaga fans buy 1 season ticket to the other teams' games, which they use to be able to buy WCC tourney tickets (might have heard this here, I forget) So, for example, a Gonzaga fan will buy 1 LMU season ticket. Then LMU gives "their" season ticket holders first priority in buying WCC tourney tickets. The Gonzaga fans who bought the 1 LMU season ticket (who never attended a single LMU game, or whereever), will then buy like 10 WCC tournament tickets to LMU's WCC tournament ticket alottment.
There you go...
It's a dumb game. Also means that the other WCC teams are guaranteed to have poor attendance during the regular season (from Gonzaga season ticket holders). The WCC just needs to find a bigger venue in Las Vegas (either Thomas and Mack or T-Mobile). I'm hopeful that the new WCC Commissioner will fix this.
