The front bumper is epically low, and even with the airdam removed on a zr1 it is pathetically bad.
I believe ARB has a winch bumper now, but that will set you back another $2k, just to get you equal with a Taco that has a cheaper MSRP.
The ZR2 is a phenomenal machine, but you will pay dearly for it compared to a Tacoma TRD-off road.
I've only seen the ranger in Sweden, and I liked the looks a lot. I've never been on the inside of one however.
Personally I prefer the Taco's interior, the Colorado's seats and drivetrain, and the Taco's suspension, body design, and off road aids.
In short, I lean Taco despite the Chevy's superior engine choices.
Make mine inferno orange with a 6spd manual please..
Oh, I have also hated the 4-LO throttle response in EVERY Chevy I've off roaded. I've never played in the dirt in the Colorado myself. I keep inviting my BIL to come.with us (he has one), but he's terrified to damage that front facia on trails I don't think twice to take my wife's LX470 WITH factory plastic side steps......and that's saying something.
