Utah had just lost to BYU in the semis, but I hated UNLV with a passion. I think it's ridiculous that the MWC tournament is played at the T&M when the MGM or Mandalay Bay arenas are a block away. It matters, and UNLV has taken full advantage of that home court. (Although they did lose in the title game a few times). UNLV had no business winning the 1998 tournament. They rode the home court the whole way. They were beat up by Princeton in the NCAAs.
