I actually think being an assistant coach at BYU at some point is more valuable than being a HC at any old school no matter the results, just for the sake of it. It takes a bit to know what is required to be a HC at BYU. The kind of stuff you have to deal with. Bronco and Rose got that. That's part of what sets Sitake back. It's got to be hard to realize just how unique and difficult it can be to do the little things behind the scenes at BYU without having been there first. And as a player doesn't count. When you're a player you don't see how things are run behind the scenes.
There are more than enough examples to know that it's not much more of a gamble. Literally anyone "could end up worse." That's any coach succeeding any coach at any program. Not a good enough reason.
