Jeff Judkins is the obvious hire, he is the COMPLETE PACKAGE for very good reasons:
1. Played college basketball at Utah University
2. Played in the NBA for 5 years with the Celtics, Jazz, Pistons, and Trail Blazers
3. Assistant coach under Rick Majerus
4. CURRENT head coach at BYU since 2001
5. He has already proven he can recruit AND win at BYU
6. Record while in the MWC: .645, overall during that same time: .655, 4 trips to NCAA tourney, one sweet 16 appearance, three NIT appearances
7. Current record in WCC: .743, overall record .704, 5 trips to NCAA tourney, one sweet 16 appearance, two NIT appearances
8. Multiple regular season conference champions and conference tourney champions, his team just knocked off Gonzaga to win the WCC tourney and it will be interesting to see how deep they go in the NCAA tourney
He has this record with very little funding, all the HC issues, and conference affiliation challenges.
Sounds like the perfect fit to turn the program around!!!
