Because our fans seems to have double standards all over the place right now.

8-9 win seasons in football against tougher SOS 8 years ago? Down years.

6 win seasons in football today? Improvement! Now an 8-9 win season would sound great.

19-24 win seasons/owning the state/top 1/3 finishes in basketball? Down years.

We gave up a consistent winner in football and have been worse in every objective way since.

Yes I think 50% is reasonable and Rose is above that at 8 NCAAs in 14 years.
