My eyes are getting progressively worse and in addition to normal nearsightedness, I am now also farsighted and have astigmatism.

I’ve become increasingly dissatisfied with the prescriptions I’m getting. This last time the contacts they gave me were so off that on the first go that I couldn’t read anything at any distance. It is being redone but my old prescription, which I don’t like either, still seems much better.

Here’s my question. Are some optometrists specialists for situations like mine? Do some have better equipment or specialized training? If so, how do I find them?
