Completely agree that no conference champions is frustrating. I know St. Mary's had the magic this year, but being in a conference with a top 10 team every year makes that hurdle even more difficult.

Like I said, I'm happy to eat crow if a new guy comes in and does better. I wanted Kalani to come in and win every game we played. But after only 3 short years the bar has been lowered significantly.

I think because Rose was so successful we've raised expectations to an unsustainable rate. Just like top 25, 10 win seasons in football aren't going to happen year after year, if we can get it half the time and still be a "good team" the other half, we have it pretty good.
