I think my sons could tolerate not selling or sub-letting because they can make quite a bit at home in the summer and live at home for free. I see it as part of my college contribution. My 10-15% number is based on a 40-hour work week. There’s enough of a labor shortage in this town that they could make significantly more.

I just don’t see how that model works though for most students.
