crowd chant of "stop shooting" I am fine with, boo implies a sort of contempt
and while some may be booing to show disagreement with his decisions which is understandable, a boo to me is usually interpreted as a more all encompassing contempt for that person, especially if it is repeated booing whenever they touch the ball or shoot the ball.
If the athlete is giving his best effort, even if they are underachieving, I don't agree with booing.
