borders on a road so I have a second driveway that goes out the back of my property. Straight across that road behind me is an elementary school and it is the back side of the school that also borders that road so it is the grass area of the school and they play rec league soccer game on it. So in the afternoons and then for most of the day Saturday there are games going on and a large number of the people that attend the games park on that road and walk into the school yard through the gate on that end.

I really don’t mind it, my property is large and of course the street adds more buffer but it is loud and all of the cars parked up and down the road make it a pain to navigate but whatever, it’s kids sports and families having fun so we tolerate it without to much angst except for one thing, people park right across our driveway literally right in front of it so we can’t go in or out of it and that is the driveway we use the most, probably 80% of the time.

And it is obviously a driveway with a drive approach and a gate that is wide open. Yet these rude clowns park right in front of it, in fact there is a mini van parked in front of it right now, I tried to drive out of it about a half an hour ago to run to the store and couldn’t get out.

And this happens a lot. I have walked over to the school before and found the person parked in front of it several times and they always act as if I’m the jerk. I’ve called the cops and had them ticketed and gotten the same result, I’m the jerk. I’ve yelled over there and said “whoever is parked in front of my driveway needs to move or I’ll have you towed” and of course I’m the jerk. I had one lady scream at me for 5 minutes because I found her and made her move rather than having her towed or ticketed. I’ve had other people play stupid and say “That’s a driveway? I had no idea.” Which of course is a lie.

And generally they park there just so they don’t have to walk an extra 50 feet by going just s little bit farther down the street to park.

I guess my point is that people suck and are clowns and jerks and it doesn’t surprise me at all that people are screaming at a 16 year old ref at a soccer game because they’re the same jackasses that are parking in front of my driveway.
