I have had more than one potential employee try the leverage game with me. It
didn't work out well for them. None of them got hired by us. Folks always seem to have an overinflated view of their own worth. It could be a generational thing. All of those who tried leverage were 28-35 yrs. old. They were SA's and DBA's. They had skills. They just weren't the only ones out there with good skills. They overplayed their hand. They came off as arrogant. We want team players, not prima donnas.
