Game.
By calling Game of Thrones "Porn," you are making an incorrect and dangerous mistake.
I'm not saying Game of Thrones is great or even okay, but it is not by any reasonable definition "pornography."
Why does it matter what you call it? Well, when rules and policies get to be so restrictive, unreasonable, and unfounded in reality then people just assume that everything you say is spurious. In the words of princess Leah, "The more you tighten your grip, the more star systems will slip through your fingers."
Lets let your assertion play out a little bit.. Men who are actively viewing pornography should not be blessing, administering or preparing the sacrament, nor should they be giving priesthood blessings, attending the temple (according to some). So do you believe that everyone in your congregation who watches GOT should be forbidden from those things? Who would be left to do anything? Those involved in pornography are advised to seek help from the bishop and counselors. Next Wednesday night, should I show up at the addiction support group at my chapel with my wife beside me and say, "Hi my name is brother lilpenny, I watch Game of Thrones. I've struggled with this addiction for 4 years now." (As I turn to my delicate wife with tender feelings except she watches with me...
There are also implications to your view in terms of proclaiming the gospel. I get that the LDS church isn't for everyone, but socially, asking someone to give up drinking and coffee isn't a bridge too far, in my opinion. On the other hand, asking someone to avoid Game of Thrones "like the plague" is just another unnecessary hurdle. I hate it when people spout misguided rumors about LDS as if they were truth. I.e., "oh Mormons can't dance or listen to music, right?" Or "Mormons can't eat chocolate or meat." Now thanks to you I'll get to questions from people who think, "Mormons can't watch Game of Thrones."
