My nickname in choir was "monotone". a year later I was in the top school choir
and had the lead in the regional musical and a top mark in a solo competition. Like anything, if you practice and take lessons from a good teacher, you can improve.

I was a terrible singer. I took singing lessons for a year and it helped a lot.
