crushed in 2009-2012 by doing nothing more than doing just that. Luckily we had bought decade before. But, our homes value dropped 175 k in 24-28 months, and we aren’t in a “high end” home. It was just ridiculously high at the peak, very similar to current conditions. Having been in investment biz for 20 yrs, that’s my advice & very strong caution.
