I disagree with your assessment that developers aren't interested in affordable housing. I'm a developer and I'm
interested in affordable housing. Creating affordable housing is a HUGE part of our industry. Urban Land Institute (ULI) meetings are often centered around the issue. And some real estate companies only do affordable builds (that's their specialty).
