That's not a bad hit rate. I don't think I ever get that high. Are you on the Wasatch Front? Because if you aren't
then it's always a tough sell. Wasatch Front car buyers are stinkin' lazy and I'm surprised at how many want you to make the drive up to come to them to show them your car.

When I bought my wife's GX, it was appraised by the Insurance at $18k and I bought it for $4k below that (remember, that's insurance value, not even blue book private party value). Mainly because the guy was in Richfield and everyone contacting him wanted to "meet in Provo."

I low-balled him and said I'd have all the financing taken care of AND meet him outside my Credit Union Branch in Richfield.

He accepted the low-ball offer and we got a great deal.

If you are located on the Wasatch Front, then you need to compare the cost of the Ford Edge with the competitors from Toyota/Honda. As Jericho mentioned, the "Toyota Tax" is a real thing in Utah. You MUST value your Ford LESS than the equivalent Toyota model if you want to sell fast, because given the choice between the Ford and Toyota on the used market, at the same price, nearly everyone goes for the Toyota.
