Well that’s borderline bigoted.

I’m not Canadian. I’m a US citizen, born in the US. I have Canadian ancestry from different parts of Ontario and Quebec.

Either way national origin is a protected class. No other protected class would it be appropriate to use that terminology.

Also, Redlands is in California
