But people who try to explain it all away are fighting an uphill battle. The Raptors players themselves acknowledged that some fans were still cheering the injury long after they might have been cheering about something else (like the turnover).

I understand why you want to defend your people. But it’s not necessary here. Nobody will hold any grudges against them for this one unfortunate incident.
