I don't follow soccer but aren't there a lot of players from Africa who

play for European national teams? I thought I remeber seeing something about the French team having more players brorn in Africa than in France. Have you fatored that into your analysis? Perhaps the best FIFA teams are the best because they also "steal" the most athletic players from other more populous countries?
