If they are a minor, this is probably the best. I have savings accounts for all

my kids held jointly with me and I add a checking account when they are in high school and need a debit card to pay for things. Easy to transfer funds and no fees.

Once they come home from their mission or get married...they move out to a credit union to start doing things on their own while still avoiding fees.

Unless you need to deposit a lot of cash I would go with Schwab. No fees, unlimited ATM rebates so you can go to any ATM
