I second the credit union nomination. I also agree to have it be one you have an

account at. Moving money is so much easier for transfers.

As my kids get older and are starting to pay their own way - like their cell phones, etc., we will have them on our plan because it gets them a better rate, and they have an auto payment to my account for them to "pay their bill". Works great.

Unless you need to deposit a lot of cash I would go with Schwab. No fees, unlimited ATM rebates so you can go to any ATM
