I'm an old dude, and I've always had some of the late 70's to mid 80's BYU teams as my top BYU teams ever. In the last couple of weeks I have watched all of the 2006 season that I can find. That team had every opportunity to beat Boston College and probably Arizona too. If they had won either of those games I think I'd rethink and put that team easily in the top five. If they had won both I think I'd probably put them at #1. John Beck had an uncanny ability to find the open receiver, and once he got going in a game Curtis Brown was just a plain old beast. The defense was very, very good as well. I know they barely beat Utah but other than that no MWC game, USU, or the Bowl Game was even close. Okay, TCU was a little bit close at times.
