It's entirely possible- given the schedule- that BYU could potentially have a better team this year, and yet end the
season with a worse record.
→ First 4 games, P5 Gauntlet: 0-4/1-3
→ @ Toledo, @ USF, Boise State, @ USU: ?
→ Liberty, Idaho State, @ UMass, SDSU: 4-0/3-1
If you take the first four, and the last four, the record in those eight games could be:
• 5-3
• 4-4
• 3-5 (VERY unlikely, but not impossible)
So, the way I see it, what BYU does with the middle four games will determine whether the season is a success or not.
