Do you love or hate Disneyland/world... is it really worth the $$$?
I came across some rant on Facebook about some mother freaking out about childless millennials going to Disneyland.
Makes me scratch my head because I absolutely DETEST the place. From the ridiculous lines to the average at best attractions, and way overpriced food and beverage on site. It's one of the most over-hyped and least satisfactory vacations I ever want to go through in my life. I took my older kids when they were younger once when they talk about that trip, it's not Disneyland they speak about, it's the beach in San Diego or Sea World, not one says a thing about Disneyland. Our best vacations with the most value where national parks, camping, natural wonders. As adults, they want to go to foreign locations, historic sites, etc.

What is even crazier are the families who have to go to that place year after year. All that money creating experiences at the most over the hyped place on earth. (notice I didn't say greatest).

I really don't mean to demean anyone who likes Disney, but please explain so I better understand. Why is this place so attractive to you? Is it dopamine of some type? Nostalgia from your youth? Too many Disney video's when you were a kid? I'm actually curious why anyone wants to stand around in 90-degree weather with screaming kids, hurting feet, and people pressing around you like a blanket versus watching the sunrise on a Hawaiian beach while the surf gently flows up to your bare feet, breathing the nice clean sea air, and knowing there is a day of adventure ahead. (about the same price as standing in that nasty line at Disney). I guess it really doesn't matter what people want to waste their money on, I just am curious.
