Being a good AD really comes down to a couple decisions
Who he hires to coach the football and/or basketball teams. All other efforts and accomplishments will be ignored if the AD doesn't hit it out of the park with those decisions.

So far with Kalani, Holmoe is taking a big wiff on that one. We'll see about Pope.

But strangely, the overwhelming majority of people were happy with the hires when made. It is only in retrospect that they truly question his decisions.

Adding to Holmoe's scrutiny is the whole independence issue. That doesn't look like a home run either. But who knows where we'd be right now having stayed in the MWC as well.
