Especially in this case. Music is finite, almost all music is derivative (especially pop music). I understand the beats
sound a little similar, but the basis of the claim seems to be a chord progression... To me, this case was nothing like IP theft (which we have actually seen in pop music):

He didn't suffer any harm, but she made a ton of money using his IP. He should be compensated for that.
