If the NFL has proven ANYTHING - it's that they'll forgive a player...
...for about anything - if the guy is good enough and will make their team better.

We've got guys who've used drugs, assaulted girlfriends, and said and done all kinds of outrageous things. Sometimes it gets them kicked off of the team they are currently on - but if they are good, they always get a second chance. (Unless they're in prison, I guess.)

This isn't about Kaepernick being too polarizing and getting blackballed by the NFL. This is about him not being as good as he thinks he is and overvaluing what he's worth. NFL teams are always looking for a good starter and backup at QB. Always.

I will say - if all things are equal, if you've got two players who basically have the same level of skill and ability demanding the same paycheck - then if I'm a GM I'm going to sign the guy with the least amount of off-field drama. So I suppose it's possible he's getting overlooked in that respect. But I also suspect if he'd lower his salary expectations and not demand to be a starter he'd be on a team right now.
