He grossly overestimated his value/talent and opted out of his last year in San Francisco. He had the opportunity to prove his talent and worth and turned it down.

Since then, he's had tryouts and offers from multiple teams, but declined to accept his market value. That is not in the NFL, it's on him and his agent.

I don't believe he really wants to come back because it'll prove he's not as good as he thinks he is. He hasn't done anything to show he really wants to play. He's said he wants to play, but when given the opportunity he turned it down.

He's a clown. He has more value claiming racism and playing the victim at this point of his career than he does as a quarterback.
