Sorry but no they won't. Applied science means actually doing something which
Means you actually learn by doing. I went to University in Europe where it was very theoretical. many of the graduates were not prepared to actually do their jobs because they had no actual experience. It's not the same. Perfect example. Last night my girlfriend and I went to go get some ice cream at an ice cream parlor. This place is famous for being crowded on the weekends and since it's right next to a temple it also gets crowded some nights when when there are stake meetings on Saturdays or Temple nights for specific wards.

In any case I watched several Young persons struggle to properly manage a line that was building up at 1 of the ice cream stations and it was obvious that both of the individuals had little experience dealing with customer service as well as food service and bungled the whole situation. They were taught how to use the equipment. They were taught how to manage certain tasks however they did not have the experience the applied science on how to do those things while at the same time managing the line that was forming because they were not experienced enough.

I have seen interviewees show up a the bank where I work poorly dressed, or properly dress but with poor hygiene. taking a class that's tells you this is how you are supposed to be doesn't prepare you if it doesn't become a part of who you are. if you are planning on becoming educated in a field that requires professional dress the sooner you become accustomed to that dress and make it a part of who you are the easier it will be when it comes time to interview for a job as well as dress for the job.
