Yes. That is what I’m suggesting. The current people can keep their towns which they don’t own anyways and in exchange
They can get American citizenship. (All 55k of them). Pretty great deal for them.
Or they can move to Denmark.
I’m assuming the purchase would be made with a peaceful transition and a favorable agreement for Denmark and the local citizens.

I’ve never thought about this. You can just buy and sell huge territories in 2019? Can we sell Idaho to somebody?

Make it a territory. Use it for its resources and strategic military location. Build some nice resort towns
