The bottom third of the classes has improved significantly from a ratings stand
Point, which should be really good for depth. The article says

“The bottom portion of each recruiting class is interesting to compare. This is where depth is established, but these prospects might not catch the attention of the casual fan on signing day. Kalani and his staff have done an amazing job at improving the bottom third of each recruiting class. The average composite score has increased by an impressive .03. Essentially, that is upgrading the bottom third from mid two-star prospects to fringe three-star guys. That is such a significant improvement that you can rule out rating inflation.”

“As mentioned before, recruiting rankings are top heavy. The bottom third contributes very little to the overall team score and that is where Kalani has improved recruiting the most.”

Kalani isn’t making getting tons of four stars and will need to get a few to take us next level. But depth is ultimately improving and is equally important as landing big time guys
