their team without being mean about it (which made talking football easy and fun), they were friendly (laughed good-naturedly when we were yelling about the home cooking when they turned the 3rd and 29 into 3rd and short, they told us the story behind their doggie mascot, etc.,) and in spite of their disappointment and overwhelming numbers as we flooded the streets afterwards, I didn't feel any of the vibe of danger that I've had after attending some evening events in DC, St. Louis, and New Orleans. On our way to the stadium there was one group we passed that flipped a sign and started saying something inappropriate, but they stopped when they saw our kids. Out of 90,000+ Vols, that's pretty great statistics. You were great hosts, and it was a great venue!
