... but the experience inside the stadium was incredible. I was surrounded in blue during the game, but got nothing but friendly banter and kind welcomes from everyone in orange I came across since arriving in Knoxville Friday night. Stadium staff was great - one mentioned that he didn't care for "the shade of orange" I was wearing, which was actually royal blue, but made sure I knew where I was going and had any questions answered. We've been in the south (north Alabama) for nearly 20 years, so we are used to southern hospitality, and the Vols represented that in every way. From unashamedly having an opening prayer and the band playing part of our fight song, to announcements requesting courtesy and sportsmanship, to clean and hard-fought football ... UT nation does game day proud.
