Driving this morning, about two miles into a four mile drive, my car suddenly started driving really rough. If I pressed the gas, the car would shake/vibrate, and the check engine light was flashing. Let up on the gas, and the car would ride smooth again. I made it the last couple miles, and then drove the four miles back to my house this morning. The four miles back were the same — the car was a little sluggish trying to pick up speed, and it would growl/shake as I pressed the gas.
When I got home, the car made the garage smell strongly of gasoline.
Is this a misfiring spark plug? A problem with the fuel pump? Automobile feline AIDS?
