That's just crazy though.
You can be Wazzu and run their pure Air Raid, but Leach wouldn't have his guys passing into windows that aren't there.
You might say it's abandoning your strengths, but I say it's just proper game planning. You have 2 weeks of film on exactly what byu does defensively, and you simply say "well, passing is what we do, so let's just keep passing into a crowded defensive backfield". It's not arm-char coaching to say that you might want to revise your game-plan. That's just being over-confident. You may want to test the defense and have the first 20 or so plays scripted (a lot of Offensive Coordinators do this btw), and then adjust to what you saw on film.
They more than likely will have a new coaching staff next year.
