Hospitals aren’t charging that much to cover uninsured care
They’re charging that much to make as much money as they possibly can
Even if everyone had insurance they would still charge the exact same or whatever they could to make as much money as they possibly could
Regardless if they’re for profit or non profit they’re not just trying to meet costs and overhead.. they’re trying to make hundreds of millions in profits.
