Ha ha ha! Close to home
It’s not at the office, it’s in social settings when my idiot chiropractor brother and some dentist friends refer to “that doc” or “recruiting a new doc to the office”. Even if I’m talking about an engineer with a doctorate, I call him an engineer.
This is right up there for me with referring to people at church by brother/sister/church title. All of it feels smarmy.
