yes changing coaching would change many things. The Honor Code has pretty much nothing to do with coaching decisions in the red zone. The honor code doesn't force someone to go for it on 4th down at inappropriate times. The honor code does prevent the school from being able to recruit like Alabama. I may be misunderstanding the argument for extending Sitake, but it seems to be something along the lines of, "Well, BYU will never be able to get the recruits needed to win the national championship, so losing football is the best we can do." I have a hard time believing that the honor code has changed that much just since Bronco left when BYU was an entertaining, winning football team.
