Diverticulitis. Have had it a couple times. It’s terrifying. My whole body will
shake violently from the pain. I will sweat profusely from what literally seems like every pore. And the pain is intense and different than anything else I’ve ever experienced. I feel close to death every time, and I’ve had some decent injuries and accidents.
It’s the only time I’ve ever told my wife to be ready to call for EMS.
The craziest thing about it though? Is shortly after it’s over with, you feel pretty good natural euphoria. My body is so exhausted and grateful to be alive that you feel like you just got a 2 hour massage cuz ur so relaxed. It also feels like you lost 5–10 pounds afterward.
Second place is getting multiple shots into the bottom and soft sides of my foot multiple times. That was crazy.

Most intense pain that made me nauseous: broken collar bone. Most acute sharp pain: novocaine shot on bottom of my foot.
